National Grid Pylon Proposals

🔌Have your say about proposals by National Grid to build approximately 37 miles (60km) of new overhead electricity line between Chesterfield and Willington.

💡New pylons are proposed to be put in place along the stretch to carry 400 kV electricity cables to allow National Grid to carry more energy between the North of England and the Midlands.

🔌The overhead line would connect a new substation at Chesterfield to the existing substation in Willington.

💡National Grid is inviting local people to take part in a public consultation about the proposals which closes on 17 September.
